Introduction To The Orton-Gillingham Approach

July Course Dates: 12th-14th and 17th-18th

August Course Dates: 16th-18th and 21st-22nd

Time: 9am-3:30pm 

Fee: $1800. (Includes: The Gillingham Manual and all materials)  

This is a 30-hour course introducing the Orton-Gillingham Approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling to individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. Learning House is accredited by AOGPE for both its training programs and the instruction it provides to students throughout the year. The course will cover the rationale for using the Orton-Gillingham Approach, principles of instruction, the development of a lesson plan, knowledge of the English language and activities and teaching materials to develop evidence based instruction.  The Gillingham Manual is used as a resource.
